That also doesn’t take into consideration taxes, and that it may not take forty hours to go through a game.
Unless you are well known in the business, and have a high reputation for testing games, you can’t expect to make a six-figure income on a regular basis. There are however ways that you can get more business, and earn a steady paycheck, by networking yourself through several different companies. There are game testing websites you can sign up for, and for a small fee, they can hook you up with many different job opportunities.
Should these drawbacks prevent you from wanting to pursue video game tester jobs? Why, no, of course! Not only is the money extremely good, it is relatively easy and a whole lot of fun.

I am trying to be a game tester to! One way of me trying to get popular, is I am playing alot of MW3, Black Ops, COD4, and MW2. I am just making QsNs (Quick Scope No Scope) videos and posting them online. (I haven’t actually started posting yet, but I have 50 videos, once I hit 100 I will post them all.) That way, I can get popular, because I’m good, and gaming companies will sponsor me and then i might start to get known a little more in the business. In other words, I might get a job quicker! That is how I am starting my career.
