It may sound unreal when you first hear that you can be a PlayStation game tester. You might even ask how this can be real. The truth is sometimes advertising is not all it is cracked up to be.
Some websites offer you the moon, when in actuality you are only getting a little sand for your troubles. A site offering $200 an hour or $5000 a month to be a PlayStation game tester is not being truthful.
So what is the truth?
It’s quite simple. Companies like PlayStation need outside opinions on their games. They need bug finders, and sometimes the programmers and developers just don’t have the time or the knack for ferreting these out.
This is when companies like PlayStation come to the average person. The video gamer will notice bugs that can be fixed before the release of a game.
PlayStation game testers may make $10 to $50 per hour depending on experience. Sometimes there is eight hours of work, sometimes more. Even a PlayStation game tester will not have a full time job.
You are normally hired for one game. The next time the company may ask you again- if they liked your work. They may also be looking for a different expert for the next game. There are many reasons a company like PlayStation may not return to use you again.
Having been that honest, we can look at PlayStation game tester jobs. If available you will need a professional style, resume, and experience for testing games. If it is a breakthrough you are looking for you might have to start a little smaller than one of the larger companies.

My name is John and I love playing video games. I have a nintendo, super nintendo, sega dreamcast, play station, play station 2, and an xbox. I spend approx. 6 to 10 hours a day playing my video games. I have a variety of games that I play ranging from combat, action/adventure, to driving games. For example- Socom US Navy Seals 1,2,3,& Combined Assault, Conflict Dessert Storm, Test Drive, Grand Theft Auto triple pack for PS 2. I also have other games, to many to list.
